What is "Poiesis"?

"Poiesis" is etymologically derived from the ancient Greek term ποιεῖν, which means "to make". The word is also used as a suffix, as in the biological term hematopoiesis, the formation of blood cells.

The Moon and "Poiosis"

We are greatly influenced by the sun. However, it is easy to forget influence by the moon. For example, coral and turtle spawn at the full moon. A female sexual cycle is also affected by the moon, and there are many births in the full and new moons. This is "Poiesis".
